The plenary session “Market shifts and outlook for mining and exploration in Russia and globally” will open the 11th MINEX Russia Forum 2015. It will start on October, 7 in Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel.
Reporters will be informed about possibilities for survival and growth in current circumstances when demand is shrinking, overproduction is growing and prices are slowing down. In Russia the situation is compounded with sanctions, capital outflow and imperfect lows.
Mikhail Moguchev, Partner, Head of Advisory Mining & Metals Group in the CIS, EY – will report on what trends, risks and capabilities are recognized by mining companies’ top-management in their business.
Roger Emslie, Principal – Metals & Mining Consulting, Wood Mackenzie – will try to find Prospects for Recovery at the Global Coal Markets. He will anticipate when this recovery may be possible.
John Mulligan, Director, Member & Investor Relations, World Gold Council – will define the Social and Economic Impacts of Gold Mining
Boris Mikhailov, Head of metals and ores Geological exploration, Rosgeologia – will outline prospects for the development and production of mineral resources in Russia
Irina Egorova, Chief geologist, LLC Mineral-Info – will make the global review of the mining potential of the raw material bases. She notes: “The slowdown of the world economy in 2012-2014 has led to the preservation of many such projects. This makes the actual resumption of development projects of new facilities”.
