The 3rd plenary session of the 11th MINEX Russia Forum 2015 will take place on October, 7th in the Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel. It will be devoted to the developments of mega mining projects in Russia and their global and national perspectives.
The main topics for discussion during the session will be focused on: the Russian authorities’ actions for investing in Russian mining projects, direct foreign investments intake and state-private partnerships in the mining industry.
Speakers will examine:
- Mining megaprojects influence on accelerating social-economic development
- Measures for direct foreign investments attraction
- Potential influence of global initiative “One belt – one way” and extension of Russian-Chinese cooperation to Russian mining.
- Megaprojects influence on expenditures in exploration

Mikhail Leskov, Board member, Russian Gold Producers Union. He will talk about the recent trends in large cap mining project implementation in Russia.
Lou Naumovski, Vice President and General Manager, Moscow Representative Office, Kinross Gold Corporation. He will present Kinross Projects in Americas and Africa: Responding to Challenges.
Vasily Makarov, CEO, JSC “Pavlik Gold”. He will speak on the history of successful development at the Pavlik gold deposit from exploration to gold production.
Zhang Bingnan, Vice Chairman and Secretary General, China Gold Association. He will share information concerning the Gold Mining Development in China.
Stanley Bartlett, Managing Director, Micon International Co Limited. He will try to explain why mines fail.
Andrey Korobov, General Director, RT-Global Resources. He will report about the role and opportunities of Rostech as a leader of the Russian industry.
Stanislav Song, Director, Russia-China Investment Fund. He will present a report involving the participation of financial investors in Russian mining projects.
